Pete has been a Drug Expert Witness since 2013 providing expert reports and giving evidence at Crown, Youth and Magistrates Courts.

In 2013 Pete was trained by Micro Systemation to extract mobile phone content using XRY Kiosk software. This allowed him to produce extraction reports in either pdf or excel formats. He has had the opportunity to view messages across various different messaging platforms.

Pete’s prior Police service of 34 years has given him a comprehensive understanding of drug trafficking investigations from street level up to Organised Crime Groups, supplying everything from £10 deals up to wholesale amounts of drugs.

Expertise gained from Uniform, CID, Priority Crime Team and Police Search Team with over 25 years as a Warranted Officer.

Pete was employed as a full-time dedicated Drug Expert Witness & Controlled Drug Liaison Officer (CDLO) in 2019 by Dorset Police prior to his retirement in May 2025.

He has provided reports for the Major Crime Investigation Team (Dorset), Serious Organised Crime Investigation Team (Dorset) and the Southwest Regional Organised Crime Unit.
